Mama Circle
at Haven Healing Collective

The community at Haven values support and interdependence, two things that mothers in our culture desperately need. The goal of the Haven Mama Circle and its related offerings is to create a safe space and nurturing village both for the mothers already within Haven’s ecosystem and invite in those who have not yet experienced the magic of the studio.

Our Vision

To cultivate a community of mothers that allows all to show up fully as themselves, fosters mutual respect and caring amongst our local parents (and next generation), and ultimately grows and integrates the Haven community as a whole.

Who’s Mama Circle for?

Pregnant people in any trimester and mothers with infants and toddlers

What’s Mama Circle?

The first few weeks, months, and years of navigating becoming a parent, raising a tiny human, and moving into a new phase of life are intense—and a circle of support, humor, and honesty can be a profound medicine and source of comfort during this time. The Mama Circle at Haven provides a safe, nurturing space for mothers and little ones to gather, share tips, ask questions, and create lasting friendships. They say “it takes a village,” so that’s exactly what we’re growing. Mothers (and babes) can show up as they are to feel seen, build confidence, share their heart, and connect deeply with others on the same journey.

When does Mama Circle happen?

Additional Offerings

Outside of our monthly circle gatherings, the Mama Circle at Haven maintains support and connection amongst our community through a WhatsApp group chat that allows members to ask questions and seek advice, organize outings, and share experiences and information. We are also organizing around more regular gatherings outside of circle, including bi-weekly park meet-ups and monthly weekend hangouts at Highrail, to create additional opportunities for mothers with varying schedules to get together and the ability to include partners in activities as well.

Meet Your Facilitators

Nancy Weidner

Nancy Weidner is a 25 year Hunterdon County resident and an active member of our community. As a certified Birth Doula, Lamaze Childbirth Educator, and Lactation Consultant, she knew that yoga would compliment her birth work, and she is now offering Prenatal Yoga Classes at Haven. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Nancy remains connected as a Community Doula with the Maternity Care Coalition and Cradle of Hope, introducing yoga and other educational programs to help navigate the challenges of pregnancy and parenting. She’s with you every step of the way, well beyond birth and the 4th trimester!

Lauren Del Turco

Lauren is a health and wellness journalist and an advocate for the support and wellbeing of mothers and children. She is passionate about connected parenting, holistic health and nutrition, and mental and emotional care. Lauren has been practicing at Haven since moving to Hunterdon County in 2021 and has been a part of Mama Circle since its inception. She supports Nancy in holding space and nurturing the Circle's growing community. When she’s not on her mat, you’ll find Lauren gardening with her daughter Rosemary or doing pretty much anything that involves being outside.

The Little Seedlings Scholarship

The Haven Healing Collective Mama Circle Little Seedling Scholarship fund is awarded annually to a single parent and entrepreneur as an investment in their business and family’s future. The scholarship is offered in partnership with Cradle of Hope, a Philadelphia-based organization that supports single mothers and their children through transitional housing, counseling, and other services, and is powered by a number of fundraising efforts within the Haven Healing Collective community throughout the year. As the Haven Mama Circle grows and flourishes, our intention with this scholarship is to support the growth and flourishing of other mothers in our general area. In addition to maintaining The Little Seelings Scholarship, the Mama Circle at Haven Healing Collective also regularly collects and donates new and lightly used items, such as diapers and highchairs.

About Cradle of Hope

Over the last 25 years, Cradle of Hope has provided transitional housing and support services for hundreds of single mothers and their children. (Mothers can stay for up to a year and Cradle also finds and funds education, transportation, and childcare so that they can pursue their goals.) The organization also offers pregnancy counseling and education and support around labor, birth, breastfeeding, and life postpartum, in addition to resources like clothing and other necessities. Similarly to our own community, Cradle of Hope also operates a Mama Circle so that new mothers can come together to laugh, learn, and lean on each other. Mothers who spend time at Cradle of Hope become part of a larger family of support, and many mothers stay in touch for years.

Let’s help each other grow.
